Modern Quilting - Philosophy or Aesthetic?
I’m presenting this lecture at the Austin Modern Quilt Guild on tonight at 6:30pm. It is being held in the absolutely lovely space of Form and Fabric.  The lecture will cover the philosophy of modern quilting and how it impacts modern quilt design. I’ll also give a brief history of modern quilting and its early influencers, with an eye toward the tension that exists between the philosophy and...

Psst, head on over to Form and Fabric’s site, a sale is going on until the 25th! The lecture will cover the philosophy of modern quilting and how it impacts modern quilt design. No Quilt Today...
I’m getting ready to head to Quilt Festival tomorrow. Sadly, I won’t make the Modern Quilt Guild meet-up, since my bus is leaving around 7 or so. The best advice I’ve ever gotten for attending festival? Pack your own lunch. The lines are long and the food is pricey. See you on the show floor! I’ll be the one with ugly, but comfortable shoes. Wait…isn’t that...
